We have waited with bated breath. We have meticulously planned and dreamed. Now, at last, the moment has arrived! Raise the curtain for the grand debut of the Illusionist Dry Gin "Distiller's Edition" series! A homage to the art of distillation in absolutely limited quantities. With each edition, we unveil a new, sense-awakening composition of distinct botanicals. Every release, naturally, embodies the unforgettable magic of the Illusionist.
Our Distillers Edition 2021 is a refined extension of our house blend, focusing on the floral fruity personalities. Introducing figs, a trio of hibiscus, rose, and red clovers, we have achieved a resolute balance of lightness. To add complexity to this expression, we selected kaffir lime and mate leaves. Combined with the 12 other exceptional botanicals, we have achieved an elegant composition that pay tribute to these fruity and floral characteristics. Only 1250 bottles of this elixir were created and hand filled into specially designed bottles.

This year marked the beginning of a new era of exploring our own craft, of refining our skills and to find new unexpected distillates.
We didn't want to limit ourselves to the conventional botanical world for inspiration; instead, we sought new avenues - fables.
HERO BOTANICALS 2021
FIG
This Mediterranean fruit brings a sweet, honey-like richness to the mix. With a full-bodied aroma reminiscent of ripe orchard fruits, fig adds warmth and depth, fitting seamlessly into layered flavour profiles and lending a seductive, rounded character.
MATE
This South American treasure, harvested from the green leaves of the mate shrub, offers a robust, earthy flavour with smoky undertones. Its herbal intensity and slightly bitter edge introduce a refreshing liveliness that cuts through and energises the blend.
HIBISCUS
Hibiscus unfolds a tart, cranberry-like freshness balanced by soft floral sweetness. Its crimson petals bring both colour and flavour, infusing the composition with fruit-forward brightness, a refreshing tang, and an elegant, aromatic flourish.
KAFFIR LIME
The distinct leaves of this Southeast Asian citrus exude a sharp, lemony aroma with a touch of spice. Their bright, zesty character enriches the blend with an exotic freshness, adding a lively, invigorating layer that sharpens and elevates the profile.
The Mysterious Universe
The folklore of our past is brimming with captivating stories of herbal remedies for various ailments and magical properties. This served as our cue to expand the mystical universe of the Illusionist, leading us to discover unexpected botanicals, approached in ways seldom explored before.
This year's edition focused around fig, mate, hibiscus and kaffir lime.
